NARP is the largest pet care trade association in the UK with over 8.000 members. They set the standards for the pet sitting industry and all members must abide by a code of conduct.
Formed in 1927, Cats Protection is a leading UK feline welfare charity. CP cares for and finds new homes for around 60,000 cats and kittens every year, through its network of Adoption Centres and voluntary-run Branches. You can download leaflets from the website about cat care.
The RSPCA's mission is, by all lawful means, to prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals. You can report details of missing pets to them which will be recorded in their lost and found register.

The Blue Cross is an animal welfare charity providing animal re-homing, advice on practical care, promoting the benefits of companionship between animals and people and promoting a sense of respect and responsibility towards animals in the community. The website has lots of useful information for owners of all types of pets.
The Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors
The APBC is an international network of experienced and qualified pet behaviour counsellors, who, on referral from veterinary surgeons, treat behaviour problems in dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses and other pets.
Petlog is the largest pet reunification and identification service in the UK and is run by the Kennel Club. It supports the records of over 3.5 million pets and their owners. This is on hand 24 hours a day to authorised bodies such as animal wardens or animal welfare centres, who can scan the chips in found animals and trace their owners via the Petlog database.
